The Big RigDig

After going upwards with the house for awhile, the time came to go back down - two feet down below the existing basement floor. Luckily, we found a guy willing and able to drive a skid steer in the tight confines of our basement for a few days. Not only did he remove around 70 tons of concrete and clay (some of it on only 3 wheels), he had great stories to tell and he didn't knock down our house...There is some video of the event (courtesy of Mackerelmint) at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjEI6rHTliA

We have made it to the peak and have now started closing ourselves in.
